Morning All,

Just a quick one. Had a new chain and sprockets put on the bike this morning and wondering how many miles I should put do on the bike to run/bed them in and then readjust the chain.

Someone has suggested 50-100miles.

Thanks

Interesting... thanks for the comments so far. Seeing as its nice weather I might as well go for a blast after work, and check the chain out after to see whether it has loosened at all and needs adjusting. Need to ensure my bike is ready for a weekend trip to France. My first.

You don't need to "bed them in".

Just keep an eye on the tension more than you usually would, it'll stretch quite a lot in the first few hundred miles. Thumbs Up

I had a new chain and sprocket just over 3 months ago, the chain tension needed adjusting after a few hundred miles, but has not needed adjustment since, it is well lubed and checked nealry every week.
