I have a honda cbf 600 which is restricted to 33 bhp, which im getting very bored of just because of the power, hard work on motorways and overtaking on A roads, when i first got it it felt quite quick but it was bound to moving up from a 125 but now it feels slow, once my restriction is up and the restictor off will there b a big difference in power?

Washer in the inlet type?

My 650 Bandit is also restricted, but no way I am I bored with the power.

My restrictor just stops the throttle opening full. No problem upto about 100mph, which is fast enough for me

Yes, you'll get more of a kick in midrange and definitely in the top end. I had my ZX6R restricted for 2 weeks whilst I was waiting for my restriction period to finish. The powerband which kicks in at 7k will become more apparent... and that's where most of the fun with IL4 600's comes from.

When your restricted, your bike will tend to top out around the 6K rev mark.

When your unrestricted, its is sitting around 6k, where it gets fun.

Suddenly being able to red line all the gears.

At first the acceleration is amazing, the speedo increase way up in to the 100s in a matter of seconds. Then in a few years, your fully used to it, bored, need more power etc....

I find it funny that the government using one of its PC tools doesn't just slap you to ride slower; they make you slap yourself my shelling out to get it restricted, and leaving you with a slightly lame pride and joy. Dumming down of society via removing responsibility.

I said NO, you can too Middle Finger Mr. Green
