I don't want the government involved in stuff like this, they should be busy sorting out their own fuckups.

Why, how else do you suggest saving the circuit, its not like the government do much when they do get involved if anything help them out on the financial side of things.

we've basically lost croft and now donnie may go altogether and probably a load flats will be built in place of it.

give it a chance Hornet I dont think it was created long ago it expires on the 24th of august so may of been created today.

"Help them out on the financial side of things"? You're quite free and easy with my money, aren't you?

We're in a recession and businesses close down, it's a shame but tough.

Signing some crappy petition on the government website is just a waste of time like Hornet said. The government aren't going to pump money into a motor circuit that is obviously having some issues with money.

Isn't it just the current people renting it will get kicked off. It won't shut, they will just find someone else to run it.

Yes; it's not like the owners will say "ooh, what shall we do with this racetrack? I know, we'll turn it into a very long carpark extension for East Midlands Airport".

That petitions website was an idea of Tony Blair to make it look like he's listening to us. Do you think that Gordon Brown takes any notice?

Not on your smegging life mate. Waste of bloody time.

And, like someone already said, the only way it will become a housing estate is if the owners (NOT the leaseholders) decide to sell. They won't. they'll just find a new tenant who isn't a total bozo.

The Government wont do a damn thing and treat petitions with little more than contempt IMHO.

Lobby the MP who's constituency Donnington is in or write to your own MP. They have to reply to every letter from their constituents.
