RS125 Spark Plugs

Basically I bought the biken under the impression it was 33bhp derestricted, however the baffles are still in the exhaust chamber and the CDI hasn't been drilled. It has the solenoid and power valve. It only hits about 80mph which isn't too much of a problem at the moment, this is more than enough for my commute, but my question is;

I'm running a BR10EG, it has worked fine for a few weeks but i'm under the impression that this was only for FULL power models? Should I be using a BR9 or even a stock BR8?

Basically it's not starting, the starter motor is going for it, tried new battery and plug but still no luck.

Baffles in the exhaust do not mean it is restricted (full power or restricted late exhausts are the same, difference is that later exhausts have cats in them, earlier ones don't and give more power). The baffles are in the silencer and again no difference between full power and restricted.

The CDI mod makes no difference at all to peak power. It only affects 4750rpm to 6000rpm, removing a large and deliberate flat spot (there for both restricted and full power versions).

You do have the power valve fitted and that is the item that is removed to restrict them. Hence you should be using the full power plug. However with a top speed of about 80 it might be stuck or otherwise not working.

No way is a full power RS125 33hp. Early ones with the larger carbs and better exhausts made 28.5hp at the back wheel in the road tests.
