Still learning to ride and am a complete newbie when it comes to bikes. When doing 60-70mph in 6th gear (Suzuki bandit 600) it is doing approx 6000 revs. Is this normal or is it revving too high?

Also with the fuel switch (embarrassing question time) does it need to be switched up for the main tank and to the bottom for reserve? When I got it the switch was horizontal pointing to the left so dont know the best place to leave it

Cheers

For the revs as long as you are in top gear this is fine. I find bandits (especially 600's) to be extremely revvy as are most 600cc bikes.

Fuel tap issue, the bandit 6 i ride has a knackered tap but i think up is main tank and down is reserve. Hope this helps.

The bandit is a rather revvy bike, as long as you aren't red lining it everywhere it should be fine. As for the fuel tap, there should be writing on it saying something like on, reserve, prime. You want it turned to on Thumbs Up

I reguarly cruise between 7000-8000rpm on mine and have had no troubles what so ever over the year I've had it.

Down is normal, middle is always on (even no ignition), up is reserve.

Havnt managed to find any labelling basing this on what i was told when i bought it and from own experience.
