hi,just want to say hello, im a new owner of a 2008 aprilia tuono factory Very Happy ,and just found this forum,seems to be very good,can i ask a quick question,
how easy or difficult is it to do the valve shims and is there any special tools required,im a mechanic to trade(have been for 24years but just wanted to now before i go there,any other advice on my bike would be much appreceated,thanks johny

its a nice easy job depending on the engine accessibility.

Its as simple as pop the rocker cover off, meausre the shim clearances, use a shim tool to pop the shims out and replace the shims where neccesary.

Rarely is it more than 2-3 hours work even for a noob id say!

thanks,will i be best getting the tool from aprilia for removing the shims or is it no problem to make one,cheers again johny
