Written off bikes - where to buy them

With things not looking too good for me at work at the moment (we've been taken off shifts and put on days which means a hefty pay cut) i've been thinking about trying to make some extra cash by buying Cat C and D write offs to tart up and put back on the road.

I've done a couple, namely a Suzuki GS125 which I bought for £80 and sold for almost £600 and a couple of mopeds both of which made me a few hundred quid profit for not too much work.

The bikes i've done up until now i've bought on ebay but does anyone know where the insurance companies sell all the bikes that they end up with. Do they sell them themselves or are they sold in bulk onto breakers etc who then flog them individually?

RS motorcycles in Todmorden and Black bike shop in Burscough

I bought a bike from Blacks, fixed it up used it for 9 months or so and then upgraded to a bigger bike. Bike was fine and I sold it with an extra 8,000 miles for the price I bought it for. Although I didn't find it off ebay, was on autotrader and I knocked £400 off the asking price to when I went to view it.

My mate got his RS124 from RS motorcycles and that seemed alright to.
