I'm looking into getting some panniers for my bike (CBR600F 99).

Does anyone have any recommended makes? I've been looking on https://www.baglux.co.uk/ and have ordered from there before (bagster tank cover plus bag).

They have two sets of panniers, sports and tourer, from between £79-88. I have no idea how this compares to others, but they look reasonable and the tankbag I have from them is also of a good quality if that's anything to go by.

Something that isn't clear that i'd like to know more about is the attachments, i'm guessing there are some straps which go under the seat etc.

Any ideas/recommendations?

Thanks.

I used buffalo sports paniers they were not very good because the stitching was poor, you can put all the straps under the seat but they have to be far forward (check both of my touring threads for pics).

I would take 2 bungees for each throw over panier incase they snap.

But you should take less in the first place...

But if you are to bring paniers bring them out non expanded and also don't load them much.

If you have some scrap steel you can make some L type mounts for them to take the weight off the straps but on the CBR you can balance them (precariously) on the pillion footpegs or make a thin steel shelf on the footpeg with a couple of jublee clips.

I bought a set of Givi T431 panniers from Calamander before my last trip, they've been very good so far, no issues at all. About £85 delivered I think.

I used Cargo soft panniers, very well made. I now have hard luggage.

There are a few different sizes too.

Thanks for the replies.

I've been looking at the possibility of hard luggage, but one site which lists all the givi stuff states that the full hard luggage system doesnt fit 99-00bikes Rolling Eyes
