I just found this interesting, kind of proof of evolution in a way.

Quote:
The fruit of most species of Capsicum contains capsaicin (methyl vanillyl nonenamide), a lipophilic chemical that can produce a strong burning sensation in the mouth (and, if not properly digested, the anus) of the unaccustomed eater. Most mammals find this unpleasant; however, birds are unaffected[2][3]. The secretion of capsaicin is an adaptation to protect the fruit from consumption by mammals while the bright colors attract birds that will spread the seeds.

How can that be proof of evolution, if anything its proof of our divine creator; do you really think random variation can create a plant which attracts birds to eat it but repels mammals who will not spread it.

Sorry about that thought it would be fun to throw together an argument that those damn creationsits would use.
I can see the flaws, can you?

Different evolutionary advantage these days.

If they produce lots of capsicum, some mammals seek out the flavour. They will even deliberately cultivate those plants which give the best fruits.
