Basicly my bandit 400 hasn't been starting off the button as there is no power in the battery and i assume that the engine isnt charging the battery when it is running as i did a 30 mile round trip on it yesterday and still when i got back it didnt have any juice in it, would this mean i need a new regulator rectifier? oh yeah and the battery is only a few weeks old so i dont think thats going to be the problem.
please help
xxxx

Yes it's the most likely problem. You could fit a different reg/rec it doesn't have to be the same one. I've always fitted Honda ones to Suzukis when they blow. I've used a CB650 one and a superdream both on Suzuki GS models.

If you want to check then put a meter on the battery when the engine's running. It should go up to about 14 volts.
