Is that a follow on the the early CB250RS's?

If so, they used an XL250 engine.

It is around the right era. The engine is the RFVC.

Which is both the XR and the XL, but apparently they aren't interchangable!

The CB250RS uses a different power plant to the CBX250RS(e)

The XR250 power plant looks similar to the CBX one from the pictures I've seen, but I cannot be sure...
