not sure how the moose works but when i had a puncture very similar to yours a few weeks ago, i used slime and opted for the leave it in approach at first but eventually it fell out on its own anyway. the slime held it together for a while but after a week or so it let go whilst on the way to work and sprayed out all over the place Laughing .

does the moose set in the tyre or does it stay wet like slime and only dry in the punctures?

I have got some of that tyre moose. But should I remove the pieces and then squirt it in or leave the in and still squirt it in?

Neither, get it repaired properly with a mushroom plug, it's the only safe way.

I always remove stuff from my tyre, stops it getting forced further in. I'd rather remove something and have the tyre deflate whilst I'm at home, then have it randomly deflate whilst I'm at work / out somewhere / riding the bike.
