changing a bike colour

for my next bike im tempted to get a zx6r, 2005 model however i really dont like the lime green/silver colour schemes for them and would want to respray it another colour, possibly pearl white, similar to the 848's scheme (yes i know it will look manky but i think it would look nice when cleaned) with black headlight covers.

i was wondering if this would affect resale price of the bike significantly? many people think a resprayed bike shows its gone down the road or covering up damage but surely if its a simple green to white change that wouldnt be the case?.

also im guessig i would have to get the dvla to change details on the bike and inform the insurance company of the change in colour, any idea how much these would cost?
