Was riding round at 4 in the morning. Stopped at some lights and as they went green some clapped out little 2t honda flys past two up with inches to spare, I follow it and watch some remarkably shit riding, then exiting a massive roundabout it lowsides straight into a barrier and traffic light post doing about 60.
Both helmets fly off and the rider ends up under the front wheel, no road rash or blood other than a few minor scrapes, me and some guy on a ped pull up, and we both have our helmets off and phones to our ears within seconds. He sorts ambulence and I get them both to stop moving, the pillions quiet and the riders screaming at me and a taxi driver to give him a ride home, and calling the other guy a cunt for ringing an ambulance. Bunch of pissed slags turn up and start taking pictures. Me and the taxi driver tell them to fuck off
about a half dozen police cars turn up within a minute (they'd just finished escorting a yacht) and the police are cool as fuck. Feel a bit sorry for the kids, but it was only a matter of time, the bikes not insured or registered to either, and they've been baiting police all night, riding on the wrong side of the road straight at police cars with no lids and such, in fact 2 units where taken off the yacht detail earlier to try to track them down. One policeman is a tad twatty and starts going over my bike, and trys to make an issue of the missing tax disc and exposed wiring, but it's just a warning, which is more than fair, especially given the lack of speedo, small plate and straight through can. Though he has a bit of an attitude "You where riding like idiots" "err no, I have nothing to do with them" "well why did you stop" "because they crashed right in front of me"
Anyway the chav kids are carted off in the ambulance, riders shouting insults at the police in between crying about his leg (he was walking on it so it's nothing major) then we give statements and hang around with a couple police for 20 minutes, they are real people as I'm leaving I get asked if my bike can wheelie do a u turn, do one towards them and get a thumbs up on the way. Made my day and it was only 5 in the morning. |

see thats what annoys the fuck out of me about police, the ones that go over your bike for no reason. The one getting you to do a wheelie, cool bloke, dont expect all police to be like that, but it would be nice if all of them acted human rather than robots with only thier job on thier mind. ____________________ follow my racing season

Weren't you afraid they asked you to do a wheelie so they could book you for it?
