Cheap all inclusive holidays.

Helloooooooooooo,

Looking to go on our first holiday abroad (Mrs & I) we obviously don't have a huge amount of money to throw away but are looking at about 300 all in.

Is all inclusive the best option or should we be going self catering and eating cheap?

Is there any specific destinations you can think of that would be cheap but still contain sun, pool, etc...

We are not looking for too much to do just to chill out and relax.

Any suggestions or tips?

Best bet might be to go around some travel agents and see what they've got. Internet sites to, just do some searching.
In some cases you can get good deals on last minute offers too, though apparantly 'real' travel agents rather than internet sets tend to be better these days.

Is that £300 each or £300 all-in .

I've always found First Choice (www.firstchoice.co.uk) to be an excellent site for last-minute deals.

Depends where you want to go from and when you want to go but the best I could find you at the moment is a week in Kavos, Corfu, bed & breakfast, departing from Gatwick on 19th May, for a total of £324 for both of you.

Have a play around on the site, see what comes up for you.

Just make sure who you go for is ABTA/ATOL bonded........

Or you use a Visa credit or debit card, or Mastercard credit card....

Last thing you need is for your 1st holiday abroard to be ruined by tour opp going titsup.com....

With that sort of budget I would say all inclusive is your best bet (300 each, right?) although your choices would be limited.

Have had 2 weeks from 390 myself, you might only get a week at that price.

Don't expect much in the way of entertainment at night and make full use of the activities during the day and you willl be fine

300 each is correct. We have seen some last minute all inclusives from £203 in ibiza upwards which is goooooooooood.

We just want to chill out, she doesn't even want to club hoppety hopping which is a little gay but hey. So entertainment will be sexual appetite and drunken swimming.

Is that including spending money, what about getting to the airport (just petrol money even, if you're getting a lift)?
Remember full inclusive will mean staying in the hotel for lunch, but may mean you get some (local) drinks for free too.
Half board would mean you don't feel obliged to stay near the hotel at lunch - can probably steal away some sandwiches from breakfast if you're really broke.

Obviously 'just living' costs in the UK too, but if you're living with parents you probably pay a fair bit less.

^^^all inclusive should include all local drinks, usually between 6am & 11/12pm

It is good value for money IF you do all your eating & drinking at the Hotel. However as said the entertainment at night is hit & miss, its usually the waiters etc that provide it. Also be prepared for a lot of kids as all inclusive attracts a lot of families, especially in these price ranges.

You might not even be tied to hotel for lunch, I went all inclusive last year and they did a picnic lunch for you for days out.

we went all inclusive to spain to lloret de mar for around £260 each flights and everything. just add on a bit extra for luggage but you will easily find somewhere for 7 nights all inc for £300 each
