Hey guys.
Was out for a run today on the bike, following a bullet 350, so going no more than 50.
I noticed that when i layed off the throttle there was a really loud buzzing noise coming from the engine. I thought it would be best to leave it till i got back and then have a look at it.
I got back, and went in the house. And when i came back out to leave again, i fired it up, but it was really loud. I mean really loud.
So i killed the ignition and got off. I knew it would be the exhaust as soon as i heard the shear noise.
Just as i thought, one of the bolts on the top end of the exhaust had fallen off, and the other was just about to, with the thing hanging out of the engine. I replaced the missing bolt and tightened the both of them after knocking the exhaust back into place with a rubber mallet.
Now when the bike is running, i can feel air being pushed from the bottom of the exhaust where its connected to the engine.
I will get a picture tomorrow when it's light, but does anyone have any idea if i can repair it, or if it would just be better off buying a new exhaust system.
The thing is pretty rusty, which lets the bike down overall as everything else is in great condition.
Its a 1999 model.
EDIT: It is still buzzing quite a bit, not as much but it is still there and really loud too.
Cheers

Righto, i have replaced the gasket. Seems to be ok just now. Couldnt hurt buying a new exhause though
It was late last night and i wasn't thinking much so i didn't think that i could just replace the gasket. duh!
but yea, its all good now. I just need to take it easy from now on instead of redlining it on every gear trying to get some power out of the CG.
Thanks for the help anyways.
