suggest me a phone...

ive got an n95 8gb at the moment, and im thinking of getting something else. i want a phone that has to have the following:

> good camera
> slide out keyboard thing
> not be huge or look shit.

You will really struggle to find a non touch screen phone with a slide out qwerty keyboard.

Only other ones with a qwerty keyboard that aren't touch screen, that i can think of, are the blackberry (bold, curve etc)

The Sony X1 Xperia has only a mediocre camera compared to some of the others due to the LED flash on it. I miss the xenon flash I had on my old K800 but in bright conditions it is still better than my old N95 with it's 5mp camera.

The number of apps available for windows mobile phones is useful and you can use the phone keyboard on the touch screen just like the normal keypads for texting.

You've probably seen my E90, it's huge and ugly but also completely and utterly awesome.

The only real improvement you'll get over an N95 8gb is the bigger internal screen and better keypad though.

Avoid that LG KS360 side slider thing, it's cheap for a reason.

SE's X1 is actually made by HTC and hence has the usual HTC foibles, good idea, great hardware, mediocre camera, useless firmware.

Nokia's E75 is out soon, that's a modest size and has the side sliding keypad as well, quite a bit smaller than an E90 too but the screen lets the show down if you ask me.

The Nokia N97 is the best upcoming example of the form factor and about the only handset I'd consider binning my E90 for, now if only it had have had a capacitive touchscreen

It kind of sums up the problem with the current generation of Windows mobile handsets, unless your buying it soley for exchange support, they all need a prompt trip straight to xdadevelopers to get the firmware into shape.

I suspect that unless WinMo 7 is the best thing since sliced bread, the palm pre will pretty much be the end of windows mobile

6.5 isn't all that changed at the back end, but in terms of user interface Titanium is light years ahead of the standard 6.1 front. One day M$ may realise that a windows desktop just isn't suitable for a phone screen.

As far as stability goes, I've had no real issues with 6.1 or 6.5. I think the main problem with Winmo is that "out of the box" both Microsoft and most handset providers bloat the standard OS so badly with shite people won't use that it turns into a buggy and slow monstrosity. The palm pre will be interesting, assuming Apple don't go gunning for the company for breach of IP.

well, i was reading hello magazine with my mummy, and i stumbled across an advert for a nokia E75... it looks to fill all my criteria for a phone, but the camera could be better at 3.2mp.

ill see if im entitled to an upgrade or something.
