Brake pads (for the night crew)

I wanna order some new pads for my S4 what should I get?

I am to be ordering them in the next few hours.

Let me know, I was thinking EBC Sintered but had seen other brands like Carbon Lorraine Gold Fren and Ferodo and wanted to know what they were like. Links would be helpfull.

Carbon Lorraine are meant to be fantastic according to some bike shop, more track brake pads than road though I believe..

I've heard that too, apparantly finding them for my bike online is impossible.

Woop woop go night crew!

Cant help with the brake pads, i can tell you the ones i have on the front at the moment are a pile of wank but no idea what they are, 80% sure the pads on the back are Gold fren,also a pile of wank.

Coming to think of it maybe i just need to give my brakes an overhaul, must buy some tools

always went for gold frens but now fitted carbon loraine pads and they seem ok, only ridden it around the block so far.

came very highly rated as i was buying new calipers from a place that run bikes in BSB.

expensive though, i think it was like £24 per caliper but worth giving it a try.

Don't know if they make them for your bike but I've been fairly impressed with the Armstrong sintered pads they supply for my Honda.

I had low expectations and was pleasantly surprised, I will certainly be using them over the EBC HH ones I was using previously. The Armstrongs seem to have more initial bite and are unaffected by the wet like sintered pads are supposed to be (the EBC ones seemed vague and slow to come in in the wet).

I suspect they might fade a little quicker under track conditions but it's that one good initial stop when numbnuts cuts across me on the motorway I want them to be on the ball for.

Had Ferodo HHs on my Mille, very good pads, had Armstrongs on the 400 and they were ok.

Agree with Stinkwheel on the armstrongs. Ive just fitted some to s4 and they are really good.

Another (surprised) vote of support for Armstrongs. I had some of the normal (non sintered) ones on the Bandit as they were all I could get in a hurry. I was surprised when they worked as well as normal EBC pads and lasted twice as long (they would have lasted longer as when they were down to about 1/3 the feel became non existant and I put new pads in).

I'm getting pissed off, I cannot find a single place online that does Carbone Lorraine or Armstrong pads on the S4. I work nights and sleep through 'Office Hours' Which means ordering things over the phone is difficult.

I've just order Brembo Pads, mainly for tart value, I'll see how they go.
