Went to see it last night, i hate star trek and i've never been into it at all but the new film is epic!

Lots of shooting and explosions and general mayhem, completely different to the tv program and other star trek films. Reccomend it highly Thumbs Up

Well I am a Star trek fan, and I did like it, but I could see why a lot of trek fans wouldn't.

Can't say much more than that really, lest I spoil it.

I actually thought that Simon Peggs accent was wrong. He had an Edinburgh accent rather than Aberdeen I reckon...

I liked that non of the characters tried to perfectly emulate their previous counter parts though.

Making it their own part with a subtle head nod to the previous characters interpretation was genius. Whether they meant to or not, it was the best way to handle it.

The only one that kinda tried was Karl Urban I thought, and Dr McCoy was always quite OTT and intense anyways, so it worked.

Smile Thumbs Up

I wanna see it, also enjoying the reruns on Virgin 1 at the moment, although they annoyingly stopped at the end of season 5 on Voyager a few months back, but are resuming it in June some time.
