Just out of curiosity after seeing the nc30 in show and tell, what is your preferred race rep job?

I think mines either the Castrol style paint jobs or the Rothamsn, both of which suit Honda's best (although they may have actually sponsored honda race bikes originally?)

I also like the typical yamaha racing black and yellow but it doesnt quite do it for me.

Most of the common ones have been done to death now.

I've seen a Guinness Fireblade, that looked cool, as does the new twist on a Rothmans on a Fireblade.

Either that castrol one, or I rather like this:

Nothing special but it comes together well.

That monster one does nothing for me either like, looks almost cartoony!

I much prefer the older 80's early 90's rep's.

Another one i quite like are the Marlbrough (Sp?) paint jobs on yamaha's, although the burning orange hurts my eyes!

Of the recent ones

https://www.bikeexif.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/playboy-lcr-honda.jpg

Randy's LCR

I've always liked my black/white plain contrast schemes since it's difficult for them to look dated. I think LCR's bike schemes have always looked appetising

Anything with booze or fags on. West, Marlboro, Skoal, Lucky Strike, Rothmans, Corona, Nastro Azzuro etc.

I kind of like the race rep job to kinda match the type/age of bike, so Skoal rather than Rizla on an 80's Gixxer etc.

https://www.gsx-r.eu/afbeeldingen/history/racing/gp500/Australian/1/Lewis_Paul_86_02_GpAssen.jpg

Castrol schemes are cool also, and I love my Dad's Loctite scheme on his FZR6.

Forgot about that Playboy Honda, it probably is the nicest bike on this year's grid.

I'm a big fan of "less is more" so it's the JPS Norton for me.

I agree with shaggy - simple colours I think work best. Does this one count - no sponsor I know, but it's a race scheme anyway?

Got to be the Bayliss 1098R race rep Very Happy It's just stunning looking although at nigh on 30K it's a bit pricey, just save up a bit more and get a Desmo Thumbs Up

I think that team is sponsored by BOOST. Laughing

I'm bias towards my own bike. The Desmos do look good though..

That's what I was thinking! Razz

I'm not really a big fan of any recent race replica paints. Like others have said though, I really like the early 90s race replica bikes with the adverts matching the time of the bike.

I don't fancy paying extra to advertise a company like Virgin or something like that.

If I had to choose though, I think that castrol bike in your first post is pretty cool.

Favourite has got to be the Rothmans, although of the recent i quite actually like the Hannspree Honda. In flesh the cbr600rr rep of it is actually pretty damn nice.
