Shocked Wow!

Thats a lot of power for an ickle 400. In fact it has 10hp more than the fastest Honda in the BMCRC supersport 400 class.

I was speaking to a tuner and he was saying that he can quite healthily get 70bhp from a 400, and more if its needed but it starts to get hard to ride/unreliable.

Er.....yeah.
Mind you, with all the HRC bits its quite a race bike so it might be alright on the track.

That's if it actually has them. You're hardly gonna strip a bike down if you go to have a look at it are you... Confused

85.935 BHP

There is no way on earth that you have acheived 85 nearly 86 hp without serious engine work and a bigger bore.

We're did you get that figure from?.

mileage looks suspect, an old VFR with under 4k miles? Smile

Regards,
Kevo.

i havent listed a few parts on the bike because of they are one of.

my next plan is because i droped it i got the r/h side re done and now over time it looks a different colour between tank, nose cone, and sides, so i get the whole thing re sprayed to the same colours.

The why post it in the "exchange and mart" forum? If you just want to boast about your bike, surely the General forum would be more appropriate.

For a 'value'? Do you want others to say what they think it's worth? Or just to swoon at it?

Yeah, it's not as if you made the purpose of the post clear. I personally thought that you were implying that the bike was for sale and "great value". Confused

Well if you have no intention of selling it, why are you so hung up on getting it valued?

Personally, unless the bike can function well with a stock exhaust system (and comes with all of the stock bits), or unless I was a racer (and there aren't many racers on this forum, alas) I wouldn't really be too interested in paying too much for it. In terms of parts, yes it's worth a lot, but as a sum of it's parts - it's not amazing value for the average road-rider.

It's also too trick to be a track bike, as you can easily pick up a track Fireblade (2002)/R1/etc for under £4k.

If you think about it, it will never be as good as an RVF. Considering you can pick up an RVF from £2.5k, I reckon your's is probably worth about £2.2k or something.

I would value it at £2k. Same as any other VFR400. I don't give a shit what it's got bolted to it! Twisted Evil

In my younger days I spent £5k doing a car up and sold it for £300 quid coz no one could afford to insure it. You wasted your time unless you injoyed doing it.
