fork rechroming options

hi peeps

does anyone know where i can get either

A) my fork tubes rechromed

OR

B) a way of repairing pitted forks myself without having to go to a garage

Still it isn't exactly what I call cheap. If I recall correctly they cost something like £80 per pair for Stanchions.

I've had a couple of sets rechromed and while it worked I didn't feel the finish was that prototypical. It seemed much duller than OEM. New stanctions are the way to go.
