[/quote]There seem to be allot of posts regarding leathers at the moment, must be the time of year... Anyway here is another one.

Thinking of getting some Spyke Leathers from a seller on ebay who has said he will part exchange my Alpinestars track pants for £85. Anyone got anything good or bad to say about the brand?

Well having now bought some I thought I would post my opinion on them for future reference.

I bought them for £275 and I think that is outstanding value. When I tried on some Frank Thomas Leather which cost almost twice the price they were not nearly as comfortable, the FT Leather have the shin and knee section as one big lump of arched plastic which I found uncomfortable when off the bike. The Spyke Leathers like my old Alpinestars have two different molds for the knee and shin section, which I find more comfortable. I have found them to be just as good a fit as Alpinestars and actually thanks to lots of ventilation allot better for summer use!

All in all they are a superb set of leather and the value is amazing!
