There must be more to it than that, I reckon MCN is not giving you the full facts or whole background story, it just doesn't add up. Neutral

*If* this is true, and they say he is causing a danger by leaving sweets on the road, can we have whoever is responsible for the road re-surfacing by leaving the gravel on the road for cars to bed it in arrested, that stuff is far mor dangerous than sweets....and almost anything else on the road...

Yeah, let's tag all truck and bus drivers for spilling diesel everywhere!

As MattEMulsion said, I'm sure there's something MCN have 'left out'.

I call shenanigans on this one.

Had a mate who got home detention for a speeding offense.
Granted it was pretty quick but when he told the story he didn't ever mention to anyone that he had a rap sheet as long as your arm.

More to this one too i reckon.

Could be like any standard criminal who can't understand or take responsibility for their own actions and blame the authorities for busting them.

Or I could be completely wrong.

????

Why is it so hard....

There has to be more behind this guy than a single offence.

has told how he was electronically tagged for four months

Funny as its not 2 months since he was sentanced on 24th March.... So he has only been tag for 2 so far..... 2 still to go....

Can't say I ever had a nasty encounter with mint imperials on the road.

Winegums are more tricky - and watch out for Jelly Babies - they can gang up and ambush unwary road users after dark.

It's the black ones that do that.
They're all thieves and drug dealers, and they want to violate the sanctity of our wimmin.

A while ago I had a court case for driving with a tyre not in accordance... or whatever. I believed myself to be innocent, but couldn't afford the 'expert' or legal fees to prove it.
I went for 'Guilty' and got a £400 fine and three points. Ok, not quite as harsh, but the £400 is a fair bit more than I've seen people who have got done for no tax/insurance/licence get!
I later found that the police hadn't, conveniently, included the diagram in the report given to the courts which to my mind made it clear that I was innocent.

He pleaded guilty, presumably of endangering road users. It's quite possible that the court knew it was a bloody stupid case, but if he pleads guilty, they have to go with the guidelines they have. I don't know what the guidelines say about that charge, but it seems like it could easily be at the bottom end of the scale, where the alternative sentence would have been a ban or a hefty fine.

If he'd pleaded not guilty, I very much doubt he would have been convicted.
