If you've got one of these

https://www.gpsinforad.co.uk/images/BikeBoxPic.jpg

ie Inforad Speed Camera detector for your bike.

I've just written a bit of code, to export your routes in to a format viewable in GoogleEarth.

So you can zoom in and see where you've been etc.

If anyone's interested i'll compile it and put a download on here.
Ohh its free. No charge. Please Copy it (see my other thread regarding wanting a GPSworld database)

How does it work?

Does it record each junction or something you've been on and create a log or something? Then you just get the lat/long. from each junction and plot it on google earth?

I'm quite interested in how you went about doing it all Smile

The inforad speed camera has a trip record facility.

Which records the longitude and latitude at set intervals (you can set this to be every minute, every few minutes).

The inforad has an export function, which produces a file. In this format:

50.18607;-1.69715;20/11/2007 18:09:23;35
50.19000;-1.69452;20/11/2007 18:10:24;46
50.19278;-1.69489;20/11/2007 18:11:24;15
50.18969;-1.69491;21/11/2007 08:55:49;50
50.18491;-1.69670;21/11/2007 08:56:50;47

This shows longitude and latitude and the date and time, the
field at the end is the speed I was travelling (in KM).

I've simply written a bit of VB, which converts the file, in to a file format used by Google Earth.

ie

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<gpx version="1.0">
<trk>
<name>ACTIVE LOG</name>
<src>Test</src>
<trkseg>
<trkpt lat="50.69035" lon="-1.39386">
<ele></ele>
<time>2007-12-24T08:51:44Z</time>
</trkpt>
<trkpt lat="50.68491" lon="-1.39675">
<ele></ele>

etc.

So basically the speed camera has a trip record function and i've made a convertor to put it in a Google Earth Compatible file.

Hi Kawakid
I have an INFORAD V3, which I believe produces an identical trip record in csv format to that produced by your model, and would be much obliged if you would make your file conversion program available to me. I normally use the V3 in my car but would also like to try mapping boat trips (no speed cameras to worry about there!)
