His insurance are asking for it and also he wants to keep it on him when his on the bike incase the police stop him he doesn't want them to inspect the bike and realise the washers have fallen out

He could provide the photo in 2nd post and also defer the test should the police pull him.

The washers haven't fallen out. Wink They are nice and secure.

I've only been asked once about power restrictions when stopped, and the other copper owned a TTR 250 as well, so the other one didn't doubt me when I told him it was only about 20bhp.

I don't know why police keep pulling me over now, they must just see a white and purple crosser and decide it's up to no good, even when I'm being legal.

That will attract attention, my mates EXC 125 certainly did.

My tyres were questionable, luckily I had my AC10's on that day and could point out the road legal stuff.

Hahaha! Should be more careful, curbing tyres often wears out important markings. Wink

I reckon, if you managed to get to the border safely, you wouldn't even need a licence abroad, we were never asked for anything. I might even see if my brother fancies a trip over there as it is really relaxed on stuff like that Laughing

There was no one with restricted licences when we went Shifty

That will be fine. Myself and others have shown less realistic certificates. There is no standard for them so even a completely hand written one with your reg, engine number and some random scribble for the mechanics signature shouldn't be an issue

If you get too clever, I'd expect a clued (or unclued) up copper to seize on the spot, claiming a reasonable belief that the bike isn't restricted. Smile, dig out grubby "cert" or point at "is 25kW" tag on throttle body.

This tosh is why I rode a GPz305 until my 25kW automagically upgraded.

i'm blasting round the place on a 90's sports tourer and not had any issues with restriction certificates.

Had to show the insurance when I first got it, then new insurance wanted it signed and stamped by a garage, by which point I was past cooling off period to change companies.

Friendly local garage signed it for me.

my restrictors are intact, but my tax disk seems to have fallen off and found it's way onto the fridge.

33bhp restriction is dead and gone now, all (unless it's been paused during a ban) will have upgraded to un-restricted as of Jan this year (2015)

what restriction are you actually under? A2 <46bhp?
