A couple of weeks ago i passed my full bike test Very Happy

Had the strictest examiner at the test centre and flew through both parts. Found the new test really easy as you do all the manoeuvres in the yard, then u go for a ride on the next bit. No pressure on the road ride, just a bimble Very Happy

Been hooning about on the ZXR400 and im absolutely loving it, its a complete an utter animal. Taking a fair bit of getting used to the handling compared to the CLR125. Feelin alot more confident in corners than i did last week, alot smother and have really got a bit of the "feel" for it now.

Had to go on the motorway the other day to go to a site for work, got pulled by an unmarked cop car for doing 87.5mph over a set distance. Told them i already have 3points on my provisional from over a year ago and that if they gove me points ill loose my licence. They asked me about the size of my plate i told them the bike is how i bought it and i think the plate is regulation size. he told me that if it was small then they will gimmie a 30quid fine and no points. i promptly said "Now you mention it mate, i think my plate is un-necessity small".

30 squid fine and i was on my way Very Happy

Good coppers, they gave me a break and said that they now i want to give it some beans, but do it on the track or some very out of the way country roads.

A couple of pix from outside my new garage that is free with the flat im renting Very Happy

Well done on the test and nice looking bike too Thumbs Up
Keep thinking about 400's as plenty folk seem to rave about them but seems a bit like a step back after jumping on a 600 after passing my DAS. Will maybe have to go up a bit more then get one on the way back down again!

Nothing to add, good to see someone who is happy with their lot.

See if you can get on a bike safe course or similar, helps with developing observation. That way you can speed to your hearts content.

That's a good looking bike.

And you're VERY lucky those were some sound coppers.

If I were you I'd get the plate sorted until you've had your licence for 2 years.

EDIT:sorry, is your plate full size and they just started saying it was a bit small even though they knew fine well it wasn't just to get you for something but not shaft you and take your licence?

That's pretty cool.

Nice coppers but its seems a bit stupid to tell you to hoon on country roads rather than the motorway.
Maybe they are being super cool suggesting i dont give a shit if your speeding as long as you dont get caught.
Because 120 on the motorway isnt exactly a danger to anyone especially if your on a bike -_-

Just 1 thing i'd like to point out from the pics, the garages don't seem to have decent locks on them, from a past bad experience i had my garage done over which had the same up-n-over door lock. you might want to look at upping the security on it. Thumbs Up

Cheers for all the "congrats" and sickpup i love you to bud LOL

Yeah there are 2 identical zxr's with the paint job u see above. The ex-missus lost the plot so she was kicked to the kerb and she has hers. I still have the project sitting in the garage waiting for a clean up and to be built up. Now i have a garage i can spend the time in there with beer and cigs tinkering away until the sun sets.

There is only 1 of the pair on the road cos she has failed her test twice which im partly glad and gutted for her. Gutted cos i know she will love it when she gets it on the road and can go out for a play, and glad cos if she has failed twice (2nd time with the most lenient examiner) it means she aint safe on the road.

I stopped off at my mom s last week with my hot office chick and showed the zxr to her. mom said "thats a really nice bike" with an underlying tone of "is that what ur gonna die on" Laughing Laughing Laughing

Its awesome getting looks from people as im going through liverpool, the paint job attracts so much attention Very Happy

Im off to J & S with the missus today, she thinks she is gonna spend about 100 squid on gear, little does she know she will be spending about 300+

Catch u later peeps, stay lucky, use a rubber

Congrats. Nice bike. I'm not jealous in the slightest...

In actual fact i'm more greener with envy than the green on the bike

I'd get a ground anchor in and something to make a loud noise too, as well as beefing up the garage locks. People round here tend to drill into the floor and fit a huge lock to the bottom of the door.
