Part 1 was a bit shit but im intrigued now so il carry on watching. Although a lot of his advice is questionable. ie you can completely shut off power 'mid wheelie' if you are at the balance point and continue to keep the wheelie going (i dont wheelie but im fairly sure this is bollox) also this dudes tyre warming skills are exquisite Smile

just because it's powerful does'nt make it easy to wheelie and the rr3-4 does have a rep of not being playfull in the wheelie department, i can get it up pretty easy clutching in second but aint got the balls to take it to balance point and hold it there yet, im in no rush to either, i would rather take it steady for now and keep the bike rubber side down.

if you watch part 3 and 4 he does get pretty good at it, i agree he does talk some shit in the first one but if you watch the rest, the first one gives the whole journey more contrast.

I haven't watched the video, but you can shut off completely in a wheelie and keep going, it's not easy though.. usually need to be just behind balance point on the rear brake, called coasters... they are fun but can go sooo wrong Laughing I used to do them standing on the seat and have nearly been launched over the handle bars a few times Laughing

good videos that have inspired me to give it a shot.

I dunno though. I can't afford to wreck my ZZR but might sell the CG and get an old CBRF or something and spend lots of time practicing.

He is quite painfully bad.

I say that from watch a little bit of the first part, then watching his rebuttal video to everyone saying he sucks.

Which sucked.

Also, don't learn how to dip the clutch at low speed in first Neutral

It may seem safer because it's slower... it's really not.

The slower you go, the faster it snarls up. Slow wheelies are alot harder then fast ones. First gear is especially soddish, and only really useful for underpowered bikes. Always clutch in second. It still works, honest.

From September 2014 to January/February 2015 I will not be using any English, nor reading any. As such, I won't be on here. PM at will, but I won't be checking/posting unless in emergencies. Certainly not for the first couple of months. Please berate me savagely if I break that rule...

Aye. Did it in second a good few times. Regardless of the fact I was rubbish at it even though I can wheelie a mountain bike, it FELT like I was going to flip it when I tried the same thing in 1st.
