Do you think its weird if someone is dressed head to toe in triumph gear and rides a honda? The reason i,m asking this is that my girlfriends brother works for triumph and got me over 50% off a load of stuff (£600+ worth of stuff for just under £300!!). Im yet to pass my test but when i do i,m going to buy a honda cbr. The triumph stuff is rad, this is the jacket i've got:

what do you guys reckon?

yes but for 300 bucks in my own pocket I don't think I would give a rats ass what anyone though and I'd know I had proper gear if I was to slide my ass down the road.

My colour combination is:

red silver and Black Shoei XR 1000 lid - (last years colours apparently and saved me £180 off list price as the shop wanted it off the shelves Smile )

Black, white and Green (Kwak colour) leathers.

Silver Honda VFR.

Smile

The leathers make me visible and I guess went with the Silver ZZR (as a Kwak) but to be honest I don't care about being a co-ordinated Power-ranger...

Keeps me safe, fits right and makes me noticable (silver bikes seem to blend into the background far more than Black or any other colour...).

Sounds a bit crazy to change bike just for the gear, but you could always look at triumph datona's for something similar to the CBR.

In my eyes, it doesn't matter if your gear matches your bike, as long as your safe.

Its not weird. I have Triumph leathers and a Triumph paddock jacket, and in addition to my Speed Four I also have an MZ, and two Yamaha RD350s... Go figure! Smile

Think of them as a clothing brand that makes bikes on the side if it puts your mind at rest Wink

Looks a lot less weird than being dressed head to toe in triumph gear and riding a triumph.

Jacket looks nice, a steal at half the price! I wouldn't be bothered about wearing miss-matched clothing to the bike! christ, it would be weird if you wore matching clothing to go with your bike Laughing

Sorry Gixxer boys Wink

Come on, the answer is staring you in the face! Get some tippex and a magic marker and write 'Triumph' on the tank where it says Honda at the moment.

Good gear, is good gear! Thumbs Up

If it's well made, safe, comfortable and you're happy in it ie. not fidgety or numb Shocked it's good. If you can buy it at a discount, even better! Laughing

I'd take a flier that the sort of person that will make a comment and mean it (not just take the p1ss) will not be worth you worrying about. It's how you ride not what you wear at the end of the day!

I think the only down side is when coming across old guys in the queue at the PO or something, they'll get all excited when they think you've got a Triumph, you tell them it's a Honda and it's all down hill from there Laughing
