Anyone see the MotoGP?
Rossi he is so the master. But what i like about him and most bike racers..they got charisma...the visiting of the porta-loo after the race...the patting of the bike And the post race interviews...Even Stoner was chatty.
Great racing from Jerez

All classes were fantastic today, and it was great to see Smith on the top step. The 2005 Jerez race on Eurosport was the icing on the cake. ____________________ I was only doing what it said on my licence officer....

Was it just me that thought the GP race was strung out and boring with the exception of a couple of passes? Just like all of the races so far this season. ____________________ Photos and that |

There you go fella! See you don't have to start having a dig at my spelling, you could have just stuck to the point. It's a fairly shit point you have made but a valid one, so well done for that. Personally I like Rossi because he is a fucking amazing rider, and also adds a bit of drama to the races buy being a bit of a wined up to some of the other riders. He is the best of a very good bunch! ____________________ Honda SFX50 > Aprilia SR125 > Aprilia RS125 > Honda RFV400 > K4 GSXR600 > KTM Duke > C1H 636 > K3 GSXR1000 > Aprilia RSV-R > Triumph Street Triple R > Ducati 899 Panigale > Aprilia Tuono 1100 > Triumph Daytona 675R > KTM SuperDuke 1290 2.0 |

MotoGP is getting boring, except for Rossi making a few overtakes the rest just followed each other. May aswell call it F1.
125's and 250's were awesome tho. I wanted that German kid to come 2nd, the one who started last and I always enjoy the underdog Honda 250 giving it to the bigger kids too.
Rossi is GOAT tho. ____________________ My bikes are at https://www.bikepics.com/members/dynamight/ |

I enjoyed the race and didn't find it boring.
Firstly we had Rossi chasing down Stoner, then Pedrosa and eking out quite a gap in the end.
Mostly though the fight for 5th between Melandri, Capi and Edwards was entertaining.
Towards the end I was enjoying seeing Lorenzo catching Stoner (I put Lorenzo in my MCN Fantasy league the other week), and was gutted when he lost it.
Nice to Pedrosa and Melandri being so competitive, and who'd of thunk Randy de Binit was capable of anything other than a DNF?
Also gotta wonder if Hayden is so slow due to his recovery or if he has become the victim of the Duke second rider syndrome. ____________________ Current: ZZR1400

Rossi is good, but get's a following by so many people that have no brain cells just through 'sheepism'. Yes he's a good rider but there's also many other riders out there with the same talent. Yet less of the dollars behind them to provide a machine capable to compete with the 'money makers'.
Kind of reminds me of Lewis Hamilton last season. Woooo he's british and black and winning. Good on him, yet look at how he spits his dummy out lies and talks shit when he doesn't. |

In some people's eyes Rossi can't do anything right. Today he came from 4th on the grid to win with a gap of 2.7 secs, yet "rossi is thinking of new gimic designed leathers and helmet".
I'm not a Rossi bumboy, Dianese 46 stickered freak-sheep, but his results speak for themselves. There are other good racers on the grid, but none are quite up to his standard. He's a dedicated racer that doesn't whinge when things go wrong, but puts extra work into development for the rest of the season.
As Big_Ham said (and I've said it before), Pedrosa and Stoner are capable of putting consistantly fast laps in time after time, but as soon as their pitboard indicates that Vale's on a charge they shit out. Neither are capable of coming out top in a close quarters battle. They're not capable of coming from the back of a pack and winning either, unlike Rossi.
It seems to some to be 'uncool' to congratulate Rossi on a good win these days, rather like being a glory-hunting MUFC fan.
Oh yeah, well done Bradley . ____________________ Current: ZZR1400

If Rossi has it comparatively easy compared to other riders these days that is largely down to him anyway. The guy is not only debatably the best bike racer ever but he's also incredibly good at developing bikes. The Yamaha isn't just quick because lots of money has been thrown at it. It was no championship winner before he and Jerry Burgess turned up, either.
To develop a quick bike you need a rider who's very technically aware, analytical and able to go out on track for a few laps and say 'we need to do this' when he gets back. The genius of the guy extends far beyond what you see between one and two in the afternoon on a Sunday.
Rossi's come out on top in the majority of the MotoGP seasons he's been part of despite bike changes and complete overhauls in regulations, which often shake the order up completely (see F1 atm, for instance). Overrating the guy would take some doing.
As for Lorenzo, I can't help but find your POV completely inexplicable again. He won two 250cc world championships in a row and then came 4th in his debut season in GPs, despite being seriously injured for a large chunk of it. On top of that though is his sheer pace. I would think his qualifying lap in Jerez would alone be enough to convince anyone he was an incredibly good rider (half a second ahead of Stoner, which you just don't do these days). ____________________ Photos and that |
