So its getting close to the time for some fresh hoops. I know this topic has been brought up a trillion and one times before but hey.
However, my main query is about tyre sizes, not which brand/model to go for. (although i will ask that too )
Reason being is the handbook for my ZX6R quotes 120 65 ZR17 front and 180 55 ZR17 rear. All good, but the bike currently has a 120 70 ZR17 fitted to the front. Now 5% difference in profile wont hurt( i wouldnt of thought) but will there be a noticeable difference if I revert back to the reccommended 65 profile??
I ask because im quite confident with my current tyres - Pirelli Diablos, and if im happy with something I like to stick with it ( fear of change and all that).
Now having a taller profile will cause the bike to turn in sharper/quicker - right/wrong
So would i be advised to stick with what im happy with (as far as I know - having never tried anything else) or go back to the manufacturers reccomendation.
Also - Diablos or Diablo corsas?? Which would be better for fast road riding - maybe a track day at some point.
Or are there any other more impressive tyres for around £135 for the pair
Sorry for all the but I could do with some input from you peeps
cheers |
