Just in general I find its better to get back on it sooner rather than later before you loose all confidence. Take it easy when you get on it again. It happens to everyone at one time or another, I just hope you learn from it and hopefully you can avoid it happening again. ____________________ Past: 55 Sym Jet, 91 ZZR250, 03 NSR125R. It's happened to all of us. Just get back on that horse
At least you've got it out of your system. Once you get your confidence back you'll probably be more relaxed and enjoy your riding more.
Most say it's not a matter of 'if' you fall off, more a matter of 'when'
Probably be sore in the morning mind!

When your mind gives you blocks, drive your bike right though them.
Get back on it, if anything a crash will make you ride much more aware.
What actually happened?
Hopefully no damage to you! Fuck the bike! ____________________ "Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul."

Sorry to hear that. Not interested in the details (shit happens)
As for your fear..s'ok it'll pass, but in my experience i made myself (and still do) ride the corner that i crashed on the next day. Learn from it. When my daughter did her 5th superman impression, flying from the horse and landing in a heap, i thought that'd put her off, but fair play to the girl she dusted herself and got back on.
So in short. Get a good kip, set your alarm for 6. check yer bike over. And head back out.

Unlucky
You have only been riding a few months so your still learning the same way that everyone is still learning however long they have been riding. Treat it as another lesson and get back out and ride as soon as possible.
Your obs will be greatly improved by this wake up call. you'll watch every road user and pedestrian a little more closely and from that you should become a safer and better rider

I remember a psychologist coming round the orthopaedic ward when I was in getting my forearm pinned back together.
She was doing a study on peoples emotional responses to traumatic vehicle accidents.
I have a sneaking suspicion that the bikers she was interviewing weren't giving her the answers she was looking for. It was a pretty badly designed study anyway, leading questions and such but I got the impression that not giving a shit and itching to be back home so I could fix my bike was not the response I was supposed to be exhibiting.
She also expressed puzzlement about why people who were hospitalised with fractures resulting from a bike accident were all reading motorbike magazines. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. i suppose I have been lucky in 6 years of riding I have only had 2 offs..
both by the same cause... Diesel....
why do people feel the need to fill their cars up till it runs down the side and then deposit it all over the roads, both times I was out on my own and had no choice but to get on the bike and ride home, first time with smacked knee (that hurt ) , second time with badly damaged pride as I went down in fromt of some teenagers who thought it was higly hilarious to see a big fat bloke fall off his monkey bike.
jump back on my friend, after all we all make mistakes from time to time, all of which we learn from |

Just to echo what everyone else has said really, the longer you leave it, the harder it will be to get back on..
I came off mine last year and broke my shoulder, spent 10 weeks off the bike.
On the day i would have rode it home if i could have done
After 10 weeks, and time for my mind to run away, it was a lot harder to get back on.
Still not great on corners now, but getting more confident, and know where my limits are.
Remember, treat everyone on the roads like idiots, most the time you wont be let down. Always ask "what if...", what if they turn right, what if they go to over take as well, what if they decide they want to turn off at the next junction 20 yards away
Always have a Plan B, think it twice, if it isnt a good idea after the second thoughts it probably wasnt in the first place.

Everyone feels nervous after an off, you are no different from the next person...but to get back out there as soon as possible. When I had my big crash it was four months before I could walk again... yet I still did it, and still ride now!
But as everything is fine with you and your bike, you should get back immediately. ____________________ Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter won't mind - Dr. Seuss |

ive never been off a bike for more than a week due to injury, and thats only because i was hospitalised.
broken leg, broken foot, broken wrist etc...
helps to have 2 bikes. one to crash, and one to ride after youve crashed. ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles.
