Need to get some better boots soon - at the moment I'm looking at these three but not sure which is the best option. Main priority is protection - going by the blurb the Oxfords seem better. Not sure if I need them to be waterproof (only the Oxfords are it seems). Looks-wise I think I prefer the Beriks followed by the RSTs, although the Oxfords also come in white but I don't fancy having to clean them all the time!

Have you owned any of these boots? Are there any contenders I've missed for around the same monies?

Hunt around for a pair of Astars SMX4s, they were discontinued for a new model this year and hence are usually silly cheap on clearance. Far better than any Oxford dross that's for sure. Expect to pay ~100 quid for the regular version, and probably 120 to 130ish for the waterproofed version if you can find any left.

Bought a pair of these a few weeks ago for 56quid and I can't fault them:

They're comfy and have been waterproof when riding in the pouring rain for hours.

Which ones fit you better? It's quite possible they will offer the best protection.

As I found, all the fangly bits won't help if you hit hard enough - possibly may even make it worse in some cases. Material thick enough to keep your skin in tact is a good start, the rest is questionable.q
