A month after ordering my jacket it finally came but i'm not sure if the fit is right. It's an alpinestars breeze jacket in Small. It fits quite snug/tight and it ends at the waist meaning whatever i'm wearing under it like a jumper comes out the bottom making me look like im wearing a little kids jacket. Is it meant to fit like this? How can I check?

FWIW there's an Alpinestar size chart here.

Bike jackets tend to be short cos you're meant to zip them to your trousers around the waist.

I tend to avoid sizing charts, as i ordered a jacket that would fit according to the chart and it wouldn't go over my arms, ended up getting bigger and bigger sizes till i got one that fit properly,.

According to the chart i sghould be large but ended up with 6xl.

With my arms straight out in front of me and the jacket zipped up the sleeves stop just before my wrists, good/bad?

My old jacket (FDL Intl) is a Medium which is comfortable but baggy which means all the pads are out of place.

Come on, you can work this out - if there's 2 inches of exposed skin twixt glove and jacket then it doesn't fit you does it...

If you were to try the trousers, you'd find you'd probably look very Simon Cowell-esque as they tend to end just beneath your *boobs/moobs/pecs, so the jacket doesn't need to be long. It's the touring style jackets that are bottom skimming.

*delete as applicable Wink
