I've recently decided to give my yamaha dt 125 r (01 model) a new lease of life by tuning it up, so far I've the power valve done to give it a bit more speed (currently running at 65 from 50) I was told to get a Dep Down Pipe from ebay by a mate because that will make it go a great deal faster but currently I've had no luck finding one cheap. Are there any other exhausts or places where i can get them?

Other then that I was told Racing Reeds will do it some favors as well.

Also I been told I can chrome it up a great deal as well but not sure what substance to use

any advise would be great cheers

Chrome and dirt bikes dont mix well. Unless you never take it off road......

Erm, chrome. What else would you chrome it with?


The bikes have their chrome sprayed over to give them a factory look, I was shown some substance that takes this off and brings out the original chrome look but I can't remember what it is..

Its probably aluminium not chrome, Ive never known a bike have chrome painted over and it is quite unlikely as theres not a lot of paint that sticks to chrome.....

As above, it's not chrome, just aluminium or steel that's been polished to a mirror finish.
