Connect Xbox to internet through my PC...

Just a quick question. I have a PC running Windows 7 that is wirelessly connected to a router. I want to connect my Xbox 360 to my PC using an ethernet cable and then use that internet connection on my Xbox as well. Can I do this, if so how?

By the way, the methods for Vista will probably be the same for Win7, so I can use my initiative on that part.

You can definately do it on Vista so I would Imagine Win 7 is the same. You're best off looking on the xbox forums.

I used the same connection a few years back and it works great!

I've done this and it works fine.

To do my method (in my eyes the best method ) you will need to buy a crossover cable (or make one). This is like an ethernet cable but with some of the wires switched around. Use this instead of the original ethernet cable.

First you need to 'bridge' your connections. Do this by highlighting the connections in the network connections window and right click and then select bridge connections on the drop down menu.

Once this is done... connect to the internet.

all should be working now

Don't use internet connection sharing because it creates NAT problems and makes the computers internet rather slow.
