Over a month ago my friend bought an RS125 engine on ebay ( since he blew his old one up)

For one reason or another the guy has stalled. first DHL werent able to pick it up...Blah blah blah. The guy rarely answers his phone. My mates cheque went it no problems. The guy claims he sent it last week via royal mail but has no tracking number or proof of postage.

He's reported it to the police and is seeing if he can sort something out with Ebay.

Anything else he should be doing?

Sort it through ebay is about all you can do, and keep hassling the guy.

It would cost about £120 to send even a lightweight engine with parcel force and parcels that size are tracked.

So. He is being lied to.

Get down there with some backup and get the money back. You have the address he sent the cheque to.

not entirely true. it cost me £29 to send my mito 125 engine when i sold it.

then again, i did literally turn up at the counter with an engine in a box and say ''send this please''.

I guessed an RS125 motor at around 65kg?

This would cost well over £100 if sent from a post office using parcel force (royal mail do not deliver large parcels).

Maybe I over-estimated the weight?

i think my gsxr400 engine weighed about that. i was amazed when i picked up the mito engine as to how light it was. literally a 1 handed engine drop.

i would say theyre 30kg at most.
