Hi there,

Anybody know anyone who will skim a motorcycle brake drum in a cast wheel? My LC just failed its MOT on this. It failed on four things in total but they are all really silly compared to this.

Help!!

Preferably someone in the Reading/Berkshire area would be good!

must have been BAD to fail-my dnepr was ok and they are pretty oval.

most machine shops could skim the drum for a nominal fee

I think part of the problem is that the motorcycle guys didn't do the MOT, the car guy did it. He's obviously qualified to do it, but I suppose he doesn't know the ins and outs of motorcycle drum brakes.

That said, it is pretty smegging bad. The brake pedal feels like it hops up and down about a centimetre under my toe when I apply the brake.
