Anybody ever use any of the MucOff helmet foamy type deododising thing.

Mines smelling a bit stale and I'd like to give it a bit of a freshen up.

I've given it a spray with normal deodorant but to be honest, it makes you sneeze. Problem is it's a fixed lining in the AGV so I don't know how to wash it.

Can you just use normal water etc with a sponge or will it take forever to dry out?

I'm trying to avoid going the Febreze route Rolling Eyes

Any ideas much appreciated Thumbs Up

I'd be a bit wary of febreeze or any other chemical product in such close contact with scalp and ears - which can be a bit sensitive.

Maybe try simple soapy water or even something like baby shampoo since a lot of the honk will be hair grease related.
No need to make it sopping wet, just get some solution on a cloth and work it in going over it 2 or 3 times.
As the weather is I bet it would be dry in a couple of hours outside or even on a window sill with window open.

Bath of hot water

For about an hour, every now and then agitating the inner cushioning. Drain water, let it hang above the bath for a bit and then sit it somewhere where it will dry. Doesn't take that long to dry out funnily enough.

Need to do mine again though, I likes strawberries Mr. Green

all helmets ive ever owned have had removable liners, meaning you can strip it down to a shell, chuck the insides in a washing machine and re-assemble it.

Take it in the bath with you and give it a good scrub with some head and shoulders. Thumbs Up

Just be sure to let it dry naturally away from any sources of direct heat as they can cause the inner layer to harden. So NOT in the airing cupboard, or on top of a radiator. Laughing
