Hi guys

Just found your site via a google search.

I wonder if you guys can help me at all. I have a gpz400r (red & Black) sat in my garage and has been there for some years now. I lost heart with it when a intermittent problem occured, later found out it was the cdi breaking down which has been replaced with a new one costing approx £120 and used once since my hubby fitted the cdi.

Can you guys tell me how much she is worth approx. I would love it to go to a home where it will be used and not stored in a garage gathering dust. The only things that are wrong with it are a broken number plate and the brakes need a bleed. It should fly through a mot as it got mot'd and then put back in the garage and never used again. It has 36217 km never been converted.

Any ideas as to where to advertise it for sale would be great, I know the likes of ebay etc, but will probably get alot of time wasters like we had when we sold my husbands cbr 1000.

Or would it be worth putting a new plate on it and stick it through a mot. It's not perfect in condition the fairing has got a crack in it, but by no means is it in a bad state of repair or rotten in any way. Can take pictures if need be, but will be some time as in work from 8.45 until 8.30 at night and we are away this weekend.

But needs to go to a new home as need the space in the garage and for the sake of £100 year insurance it's so tempting to get it back on the road, but it's not fair as hubby hasn't got his bike anymore and I can't get two kids on the back at the same time lol.
Thanks in advance

trina

I'd make it roadworthy before you sell it, as a roadworthy bike is easier to sell than a one without taxed or test etc...

I'm not so clued up on prices but if its in good nick and it being a 400 you'd probably get at least £600 for it, maybe up to £900. If it was something more desireable like a VFR400 or a CBR400 I'd expect around £1000 to £1400 depending on model etc..

Hope this helps.
