Hey all, I've heard from a few friends of mine that you need something along the lines of 2 years road experience before your allowed to ride in Europe. But I can't find any of this in writing from somewhere official, all I've found is something along the lines of minimum age on the roads when applying for an international driving license.

Could anyone point me in the right direction on this?

Its not true. I passed my test in February 2008 and by July I'd done 5500miles around Europe. Just go and enjoy
