Cut a long story short:

1) Front brake switch was broken, so I brought a new one from ebay.

2) Got it fitted, and when I press it when the bike is on in neutral, it virtually cuts the neutral light off and the brake light doesnt come on.

3) I changed the fuse to 10A as someone had put a 50A one in there. I thought the proper ampage would solve the problem, and it didn't.

What could be the problem?

When I first got my CG I buggered all the wiring up trying to fit new indicators and a left switch gear. Instead of the indicators fashing the neutral light was and the ignition was bypassed so the bike couldnt be switched off.

I got a wiring diagram off the net and re-did it all. Just make sure that every thing is earthed and that all the connectors are properly pushed in as they enjoy slipping out when you go over bumps etc.

Other than that is the battery dead? In the winter when i press my brake the neutral light goes really dim and can look off, if in bright light.
