Well, here I am, 17, 18 on July the 17th, just been made redundant from my electrical engineering apprentership with a local firm after 8 months. Thumbs Down Middle Finger Before I went for the apprentership I wanted to join the Para's but my family requested I got for the apprentership instead blah blah, now I'm going for the Para's and was wondering if anyone on here has served? Or family/friends have served in the Para's and what they can tell me about it? Thanks guys! Thumbs Up

Yep, I think you'll be just fine in the forces.

From September 2014 to January/February 2015 I will not be using any English, nor reading any. As such, I won't be on here. PM at will, but I won't be checking/posting unless in emergencies. Certainly not for the first couple of months. Please berate me savagely if I break that rule...

You'll get more help on www.arrse.co.uk

Just keep to the Training Wing section, and for the love of Gods stay away from the Naafi!! Laughing

Have a thick skin and a sense of humour on there, cause you'll bloody well need it in the army.

Hmm. I wonder how well you'll cope with someone screaming in your face because you have a small piece of fluff/thread stuck to the back of your jumper. Thinking

There are two things which drop out of the sky. One of them is birdshit.

If you can't spell your own job title then you're a bit of a plank was my point, not general spelling.

You really thinka 5 page essay detailing why it is stupid idea in my opinion (based upon things that bother ME, ie politics, boredom, fucktards etc) would be at all helpful?
