I've just been given an old wreck of a bike with no paper work or number plate. Is there any way of finding out it's history and registration using the frame number?

I only intended on taking the engine apart to learn what I could from it but would be interested in taking it on as a full project if possible.

Thanks

What bike is it? Might be worth going on a forum for that perticular bike.

Just had a sniff about.

Try this:

https://www.autocheck.com/?nf=3&nf=4&siteID=0&WT.mc_id=0

EDIT: Just tried my bike on there and it says that it has no records. I'll have a look when I get into work.

Thanks for the help guys. I've been doing some reading and it looks like it will be difficult to get the bike road legal again. If I was to buy a frame with V5 for the same model of bike and transfer the parts across would that be easier? I've seen one on ebay for just £35 so can't complain about the cost. It's only an SR125 so nothing special but it's my first time doing anything like this.
