i've not used them before, or any other bike courier people. but both of those prices seems good to me, i have a fiat ducato van, 2 litre thing, it's fuel economy works out about 15p a mile - so for 700 miles thats £105. so for him to use a merc sprinter (taller and longer plus some if not all are 3 litres) then his price seems cheap - alsmost too cheap, not enough money to cover fuel and nothign spare for wages or costs. but he must know what he's doing. and that means you probably couldnt do it that cheap yourself if you had te van let alone rented one. i'd bite the bullet and give him a go.

hi thanks for your help, iv been told not to think of it as a round trip, more as they start down south and just work there way up the country dropping bikes off on the way, so if they pick up 4 bikes up and down the country, its still £480

ahh good point, guess i hadn't thought of them doing multiple bikes, but it'd be silly to do one at a time - especialy in a sprinter.

then yer, his price seems fair and cheap enough, you wouldnt be able to do it for that price yourself easily unless you owned a van which was fairly decent on fuel. he doesnt have any feedback about his service on ebay cos they're all classified ads, but all of his other feedback seems good so that's a good start.
whoever you use you'll need to trust, so i guess online that's going to be rather difficult to judge. so best bet is to make a choice and then go with that firm.
