I see alot of posts about people saying there bikes have been stolen, i mean no one wants this to happen, iv had loads of mates who have had there bikes stolen n it aint nice (especialy when there still paying it off on finance!)

I put one of these on my RS50 and it worked a dream:
https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CYCLONE-MOTORBIKE-MOTORCYCLE-BIKE-ALARM-IMMOBILISER_W0QQitemZ190298730514QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Motorcycle_Parts?hash=item2c4eb03012&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1689|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1308|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50

I mean 22quid is jack shite and a monkey with one arm could fit this alarm.
If your not good with electrics it doesnt matter, if you dont want the lights to flash and the remote ignition all you have to do is hook the box to the battery sick the alarm some where and thats it. You can cut off all the other wires for the lights and ignitions and just have it as a motion sensor. Its loud as hell and will shit up and one who trys to rob it.

Keep it simple and DON'T overcomplicate the simple circuitry. I used a relay setup for the remote start and killed 2 batteries in the process!

I'll give it 30 days before the whole unit packs in... which is what happened to mine.

It's OK as a deterrent.

Now got an accuemen DIY set-up which is miles better, but then again, it's not 22 quid!

And what proof do you have that it stopped anyone nicking the bike ???

Trouble is a monkey wench could remove it.... Laughing

Yes it will deter the common nick it for a spin lot.... Well, that is till they cotton on to the fact if they keep setting it off eventually you will not bother to set it and then they will nick it.
If they are proffesionals, then no matter what you do, if they want it they will have it.

After every ride i would completely disassemble my bike and then dig a number of holes in the garden, put the disassembled bike parts in the holes, and then fill them up with concrete.
I never once had a bike stolen.

Thumbs Up

I have that alarm too - not the talking one- after reading a thread on here with many people praising it.
Does what it says on the tin.
Not gonna stop anyone stealing the bike (again!) but at least i should be able to hear them if they attempt it!
Didnt bother with the immobiliser/remote start gubbins. Just wired into the indicators.

I bought one of these, and wired it up fully, so the immobiliser works and everything: it's not a bad unit - I need to adjust the alarm sensitivity a bit, since it even seems to pick up subsidence, but it's good enough. Plenty bloody loud, and doesn't take up a vast amount of space. The instructions are arse, though - make sure you've got a Haynes nearby when you're installing it.
I've not bothered trying the remote start, purely because the carbs are so far out of whack at the moment that it'd just be embarrassing more than anything:

*blip*
*sputters, chugs a bit then dies*
*blip*
*sputters in a 'piss off you tart' sort of manner, then dies*
*gives up, and puts the choke on and then turns the key (Oh, the humanity!)*

Oh, yeah remote start

I can't believe this was more than 2 years ago!

Installation was difficult for the remote start IF I didn't have pirate pete by my side; my trusted electrician and general bodge-monkey.

Nigel was somewhat helpful on the phone but the instructions are generic! So make sure you have a wiring diagram to hand if you wish to go the full works.

I fitted one to the Bandit couple years ago - It was ok but it drained the battery so much. Knocked out the rev clock.
Its ok for a cheap deterrent whilst you save/buy a better alarm.

iv'e got a rape alarm fitted to my bike, if that goes off it will definatly get the attention of anyone within 100m. only problem is that i havent found a good spot to put it. someone suggested the shock absorber so that if any weight is applied to the bike it will set it off.
