The spring, not a pound coin or a lego boba fett! Preferably with 2 hooked ends as opposed to one! It goes between the front sprocket cover and the clutch cable end on a GSX600F.

Muchos karma waiting for anyone who can help Thumbs Up

Did look on ebay for the specific spring but couldnt see it. Looked at other springs but had to reassemble the bike at the side of the road to get the bike recovered and with out taking it all back to bits again dont know how long it was originally or what sort of strength it needs to be. Just hoped someone had an old one laying around in their shed.

Hardware shop or go down places like B&Q and look at their sun loungers and borrow one from off the sides, but I will have a look in the tins I have in the shed later for you... Thumbs Up

Cheers for the tips. Like the idea of 'borrowing' one from b&q Mr. Green Dont worry about looking out one for us. Had a proper look at the offending area last night and should be able to repair it know i see what it does and where it goes Thumbs Up Karma

If you want a bodge to keep you on the road for a bit, then before now, I have temporary repaired a spring by pulling it out slightly to extend the coils. You then slide in a cable tie a few coils down on one side and then up through the middle, you then 'make' the cable tie at the appropriate length ... job done (for now!) Thumbs Up

Thanks for the replies and offers. Got it sorted today - I'm pretty sure it was the clutch pull lever thingymabob (bit where cable tucks into) had broken so cable fell out lever dropped down and spring got broken in the chain. Bent out a new hook from the old spring, soldered lever back together and all seems fine now. Spent a good ten minutes puling the clutch lever and hasn't broken yet. Test ride tomorrow Smile
