hi i just rebuilt my top end on my 2000 honda xr 100 single cilender dirt bike. when i put it all together it dident start so i checked all the basic things. after i few minutes i checked the spark and there was none. i did i few tests and found out the stator coil was gone. i dont no how the stator broke because it was working perfect b4 i rebiult the topend Confused. i asked honda and they said a new stator would cost 150 new. ok so my 2000 honda xr100 uses a CDI igntion system. i also have a 1985 honda xr100 that uses the new points kind of ignion system. so im woundering if it its possible to put the point ignition system on my 2000 honda xr100.? and if i can how hard would it be? thanks[/code]

Dunno if it is possible or not, suspect it might be as long as you swap EVERYTHING (and it all fits), but I think you are travelling down the wrong road here ....

Get a 2nd had stator coil off a breaker or eBay!! Thumbs Up
