Thumbs Down

Word of warning for potential customers of A-Quote.
I cancelled my policy with them today, due to my old bike dying.

I had paid £90 and was less than a month into the policy, so I presumed I would get something back. How wrong I was.....

Due to various fees and general bullshit, I was entitled to nothing back.

The ironic thing about the whole situation is that I am still insured with the same company on the new bike (Equity Red Star), its just that I couldn't be by going through A-Quote, and had to go through Bennetts instead?

So I effectively paid £90 for 1 months cover - Not such a great deal, all thing considered....

Stupid bloody small print..... Evil or Very Mad

Bennetts from my experience are god awful. Took me months to get money back off them which they wrongly claimed I owed them.

Don't go with Bennetts Thumbs Down

I'm with A-Quote and was a little cheesed off about the £27.50 service charge to change the insured bike when I bought my GT550, especially seeing as the whole years' insurance is only £80. I know most companies do make charges for adjustments like this but I'm not impressed with having to pay nearly 30 quid. Thumbs Down

I have had similar experiences with aquote.

Infact recently i needed to change my bike to the vfr800, they told me they would not cover it on my current policy and i had to pay 400 quid.

I ended up starting a new policy with them for just 120 quid, although to my suprise, it was the same fucking underwriter.
