I've just bought a Sony home cinema system which sounds awesome, so I thought I'd upgrade my xbox to connect via HDMI and with an optical port adaptor (Why it didn't have this as standard I don't know...)
Connected it all up, xbox games work FINE but as soon as I try to play a DVD it cuts the video and says "Secure HDCP Link not found"
It's a legit DVD on a legit XBOX 360 on a legit Samsung 40" 1080P LCD that I only bought last year for £600...
from googling it seems its the TV's fault and not fixable???
Anyone had this before , any ideas? Really pissed off at buying a TV/xbox that doesn't do what I piad extra £££ for it to fukin do! ____________________ Current Toys: 06 Yamaha WR250F | Nissan 350Z GT | Tech 4 Homes |

I don't see how it's the 360's fault? Seem to remember seeing a few threads about this problem on the AVforums, it sounds like a handshake problem with the Samsung DRM chips as there were a few PS3 owners having similar troubles (although not as many).
Still sucks though ____________________ I'm immortal. Well, so far. |

I paid £80 for my Xbox with harddrive, wireless pad, headset all HD cables, and I get my games for next to nothing, made a fair whack out of flashing boxes, fixing red rings and selling games too. I use a set of £15 speakers that Shaggy sold me and my setup probably rivals most of them out there really, except the uber nerds wasting hundreds on sound systems that are to be honest, fairly pointless!
So I would say my costs ownership is in the plus figures for me, so thank you Xbox for being so easy to exploit!
And screw PS3, for the marginal graphics increase I would rather save my money, and play something alot more enjoyable with a wider range of games available!
There we go, plenty of bait there!
